You are bound to feel a little apprehensive about leaving your child with a childminder for the first time - every parent does. That is why it is so important that you are completely comfortable with the childcare you choose.

Here at Mind the Tots we can help put your mind at rest
by providing a safe, loving and stimulating home from
home environment for your child. We provide flexible, family based childcare to suit your needs.

It is our aim to ensure every child in our care feels safe, secure and valued. Every child will be treated as an individual and will benefit from one-to-one care sometime throughout every day they spend with us. Each child shall be afforded the opportunities and resources that will allow them to develop physically, socially and emotionally.

We aim to ensure your child feels happy and confident when you are not around. This enables us to provide excellent care to all children and ensures their future confidence. It also helps to improve their self-esteem.

Childminding is very different from a nursery or other childcare setting. We can provide more individual attention as our adult:child ratio is always set at a low rate to ensure the highest care for all children.

Ofsted has praised childminders in its annual report (2006) in which it states that "good quality childcare is seen most often in childminding" to view the full report see the Ofsted Website.

We provide a “home from home” which gives the child a greater security and which combined with learning to be independent and mixing with other children provides the ultimate childcare option.

We do regular activities with the children including messy play, painting, play dough and other craft activities. Also singing, dancing and making music. We also spend time playing outside with bigger objects like cars, bikes and tricycles to help develop co-ordination and agility as well as additional exercise.

We regularly visit toddler and childminding groups so that the children experience interacting with a large group of children of similar ages, which will further improve their confidence and will help to prepare them for school at a later date. We also make regular visits to the city farm, rural farms, the zoo, @ Bristol and various other places of interest. It is our aim to ensure a wide range of experiences for your child.
